JT’s expertise and knowledge is the foundation of two webinars hosted by Engerati, a provider of an online community of networking, collaboration, knowledge sharing and engagement for global energy professionals.
Paul Bullock, JT’s Head of M2M, delivered the first online presentation on the topic ‘M2M and the Internet of Things (IoT); Operator Power, Integrator Flexibility’ on Monday 22 February 2016. The webinar provided the global Engerati membership, which includes senior smart energy professionals, with insight into the key issues faced when navigating the latest machine, or device, communication technologies.

JT backs coding skills around the world

JT is pleased to announce its continued involvement in encouraging digital skills through its renewed sponsorship of National Coding Week 2016; a campaign it has backed since inception in 2014.

The annual week-long event, held in September, was launched by Jersey based business Codex, to encourage the development of digital skills among communities across the Channel Islands and UK. The aim of the campaign is to create opportunities for school leavers, job seekers and retirees to develop skills and to engage employers to offer employment opportunities to newly trained individuals.

JT and 4G Network Partner sign-off

The delivery of JT’s Channel Island-wide 4G mobile network reached conclusion today with the official handover of the system to JT by its strategic partner and leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, ZTE.

Senior representatives from ZTE joined JT’s team and Assistant Treasury and Resources Minister, Connétable John Refault in Jersey at a formal ceremony to declare the installation and rigorous 10 month testing phase complete; with the network management being passed in its entirety to JT’s mobile team. Held during Chinese New Year the event took on an Eastern theme bringing both parties and cultures together to celebrate their successful collaboration in delivering the brand new £12 million Advanced LTE 4G mobile network.
